WHY I CREATED THIS DRAMA

During the Holy Land pilgrimage with my parish, we visited an ancient Magdala Synagogue. Walking where Mary Magdalene and Jesus may have walked sparked the inspiration to shine a holy light on this great saint through a one-woman drama performance. My hope is that this story of Mary Magdalene’s redemption and great faith touches hearts to seek Jesus, and kindles reverence for the true Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

SPACE  There is no space too large or too small for this performance.  The performance adapts to any space. The performances are presented in either the church, a parish activity center, stage, school, or auditorium.

TIME  The actual drama performance runs about 65 minutes. 

SET UP  No large sets or scenery are brought into the church or performance space.  No special lighting is needed. Set up time is about one hour.  There are simple technical requirements.

PUBLICITY  Nancy Scimone assists with promotion and publicity, including bulletin announcements, large color posters, a flyer template, online calendar postings, her own email list members, radio, and news releases.

SCHOOLS   For colleges and high schools - The drama is suggested for people over 12 years old, and is most appropriate for teens through adults.

EVENTS  "Mary Magdalene - At the Feet of Jesus" works perfectly for parish-wide events, conferences, catechetical programs, fundraisers, and inspirational worship events.

COST  Because this is a one-person performance, the cost is reasonable.  Depending upon your location and the possible need for travel, costs vary but are reasonable.
