“It was a bolt of light when I was six, aimed right at my little heart, telling me that singing and songwriting would be my lifelong passion and purpose.… it all chose me.”  Nancy Scimone

With a mission to share hope, joy, and beauty through music, Nancy Scimone's distinctive vitality and generous stage presence have inspired audiences from transcendent cathedrals to midwest farming communities.

Nurtured in a serene suburb of New York City and enriched by the liveliness and love of her endearing Italian-American family, she first connected with the beauty and power of music as a child in church. Her creative inspiration is sparked by sacred scripture, the Eucharist, nature, her family and friends, great saints, and the astounding grace of being alive.

“Truly this is an artist who understands that her gifts are to be used for the higher goal of bringing beauty and understanding to the world.” (Saint John Paul II National Shrine)

Saint Mary Magdalene Drama, “At the Feet of Jesus”

She has performed her original musical saint dramas for 1,000s of listeners, with over 100 performances across North America. Classically trained, she has performed as soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah at the John F. Kennedy Center, opera and sacred music concerts in Italy, and produced and sang the role of the Countess in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro at the Embassy of Austria (Washington, DC)

Nancy performs for senior and memory care residents, providing a respite of comfort and joy. "The greatest privilege of performing for our treasured elderly is when they share their stories with me, and I learn from their abundant wisdom."

Her recordings "Ora Pro Nobis," "Panis Angelicus," "The Sanctity of Life Scriptural Rosary," "The Chaplet of Divine Mercy," and "The Quiet Place" psalms are heard on radio and streaming worldwide.

Nancy Scimone is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP.)  She resides with her family in northern Virginia and is a lector at her home parish.
